Tycoeden Joins Powabyke Network – The Leading Provider of Electric Bikes!

A new enterprise in Gloucester has joined the national Powabyke dealer network.

Peter Thomson - an engineer and David Williams - a photographer, have been sharing a joint space between their studios, which they have been utilizing to sell rugs since February of last year as “Tycoeden Enterprises”.  With a mix of skills and services already in the pot, the business partners decided to expand into electric bikes in March of this year, after David was so impressed with one that he purchased.

Located in Whitecroft village on the busy Parkend Road in the Forrest of Dean, Peter and David named their joint business “Tycoeden Enterprises” after referring to their joint space as the “tree house”.  As David’s wife is Welsh they decided upon “Tycoeden” after the Welsh words “Ty” meaning house and “Coeden” meaning tree.

The pair looked into selling Powabykes after David was so impressed with his own 24 Speed Commuter that he purchased at the beginning of the year, when he unfortunately lost his driving license.  Needing to travel a 22-mile round trip each day to work, David researched various forms of alternative transport on the internet and decided that a Powabyke was the best option.

Mr Williams has already covered 1500 miles on his Powabyke and predicts that he will cover over 6000 during the year.   Having joined Powabyke’s national network of dealers, David is looking forward to continuing his cycling pleasure both through sales of Powabykes and his personal use.

Mr Williams said, “I am delighted with my Powabyke, so much so that Tycoeden Enterprises has joined the company’s network of dealers to enable us to sell them.  Peter and I plan to expand our space to allow us offer a workshop with full technical support and services for our Powabyke customers.  It’s going really well and we have already sold 5 Powabykes with lots more potential customers.”

The Forest of Dean is well known for its outdoor activities, in particular cycling, with in excess of 30 miles of cycle track.  Wanting to maximize on this marketing opportunity and with personal experience of a Powabykes Tycoeden are optimistic about their future with Powabyke and have already presented a bike to a local resident who won a national magazine competition with “Prizes Galore!”

Mr Anthony Jones of Coleford was the lucky winner of the competition and received a black 6-speed Euro Powabyke which was built and handed over by Tycoeden on behalf of Powabyke.

Supporting the move towards efficient and greener transport, the electric Powabyke has been designed to give all the benefits of traditional cycling without the effort.  It consumes no petrol or diesel, produces no emissions, requires no insurance, tax, license, MOT or fare paying.  It is congestion charge exempt and can be driven in bus and cycle lanes.  Recharging is simple, the battery can be plugged into any domestic main plug socket.

The full range of Powabykes includes folding bikes, mountain bikes, shopper bikes and even a three-wheeled trike.  For more information visit www.Powabyke.com or call (01225) 443737
