LOCAL MAN LOSES 18lbs OVERNIGHT!

As the winner of Powabyke’s free prize draw for a Lithium Ion battery, Mr Knoter will be speeding along having shed 18lbs overnight from the weight of his electric bike.

Mr Knoter entered Powabyke’s draw for a Lithium Ion battery through their newsletter.  The battery has recently been launched by the leading electric bike company in response to the need to bring the weight of electric bikes down in a way that is affordable for its customers and accessible for dealers.

Mr Knoter, who comes from Skipton and owns a 5 Speed Euro model of the Powabyke said, “I was surprised when I heard that I had won.  It is marvelous.  The light weigh Lithium Ion battery should make it easier to peddle as it is a lot lighter.”

Local Powabyke dealer, Firth Cycles in Queensbury, Bradford are delighted to be handing over the super light battery on behalf of Powabyke.  Barry Firth, owner of Firth Cycles said, “When the box with the battery arrived, we thought that Powabyke had forgotten to put the battery in, it was so light!  We are pleased to be able to upgrade Mr Knoter’s Euro Powabyke for him and expect the Lithium Ion batteries to be very popular with our customers.  We have already had interest from customers wanting to purchase one”.

With a their “L-Plan” Powabykes can loose 18lbs overnight, whilst this super lightweight battery technology achieves the same 20-30 mile range as before, but with improved ride quality and outstanding hill-climbing ability.

Nick Child, Managing Director of Powabyke said, “We are now able to offer our dealers state-of-the-art Lithium ion batteries to fit the entire Powabyke range for their customers.  New bikes can be supplied with the super new lightweight batteries or they can be supplied as an upgrade for new bikes.”

Mr Child continued, “Service life is greatly improved with this technology and whilst the batteries may appear initially costly, they last three times longer than the standard lead acid battery, so are actually far more economic.”

Two options of “Powa” outputs are available from Powabyke’s Lithium ion range.  “Lithium Plus” is designed to be a one for one replacement for existing lead acid batteries, with the same performance but with a greatly reduced weight of just 4kg.  Upgrade on a new bike costs around £299.

The “Lithium Lite” option is designed to reduce the weight and cost even further for users who do not need the full range of the Lithium Plus, reducing the cost to £169 for an upgrade.

With lithium batteries and alloy frames now available, Powabyke are delivering high performance electric bikes that don’t cost the earth – literally!

The full range of Powabykes includes folding bikes, mountain bikes, and shopper bikes as well as electric scooters.  For more information visit www.Powabyke.com or call (01225) 443737
