A POWA-FUL SOLUTION

Amidst the concerns of gridlocked city roads, poor air quality and expensive parking, Powabyke are putting their money where their mouth is and are offering an incentive to those wanting to become part of the solution.

With a network of dealers across the country, Powabyke Ltd’s range of electric bikes and scooters are easily available, and with electrical assistance, make cycling more accessible and a more attractive option for many.

Recently Powabyke have welcomed news that London will be creating cycle super-highways in a bid to ease the gridlock and commuter chaos in the nation’s capitol. Now Director Nick Child has decided to add Powabyke’s weight to the campaign to get more people back on cycles by offering a substantial saving on the company’s Commuter model.

Throughout April Powabyke are offering a saving of £150 on a brand new Commuter as part of their drive to encourage more people to use an environmentally friendly alternative to conventionally fueled vehicles. All you have to do is log onto their website www.powabyke.com to download the voucher and take it into your nearest dealer (details of locations also on the website).

The 24 speed Commuter is a battery assisted Powabyke, designed specifically with commuting in mind. It is the ultimate electric bike for touring and commuting, and independent tests have shown this model is capable of 34 miles range in Power Assist mode.

Powabykes make cycling to work a viable option, with battery assistance when needed to help make your ride to work more leisurely and enjoyable. For commuters, the electric motor assistance will enable them to turn up at work without having broken a sweat and thus not needing a shower on arrival.

Powabykes are also congestion charge exempt and free to park, saving you hundreds of pounds over the year that would be otherwise lost using a car or motorbike.

Nick Child, Director of Powabyke, believes that actions speak louder than words, which is why he is offering the incentive to prospective commuter-cyclists. He commented, “There is no doubt that something needs to be done to improve air quality and ease congestion in urban areas, so we want to do something to help tackle the problems that larger towns and cities face.”

“It’s not easy for everyone to cycle, and the thought of a ten mile ride to work can be a daunting prospect if you’re a little out of shape or if you have a heavy load to transport. Powabykes can give you that extra ‘electrical’ assistance when you need it, making cycling a viable alternative for most of us.”

“Powabykes also offer a solution to the commuter’s problems of high fuel costs, congestion charges, road tax and parking charges. Throughout April we are offering people the chance to make a saving of £150 on a brand new Commuter Powabyke, which we hope will encourage people to get on two wheels as opposed to four.”

A survey by Leeds University found that the average Powabyke user covers an average of 1,200 miles per annum, compared to the average of 120 miles that a non-electric bike does. Some users even replaced their second car with an electric bike! A summary of the report can be found in the download section of the Powabyke website – www.powabyke.com .
