Environmental benefits
There are powerful reasons for switching to zero-emission electric vehicles for short journeys. For some it’s to save money but for an increasing number it’s to help spare our increasingly fragile planet. Consider the facts:

• Road transport is responsible for 30% of greenhouse gases, according to the Energy Saving Trust, and UK road traffic is predicted to rocket by up to 160% over the next 20-30 years. 
• The typical car emits one pound of carbon dioxide every mile it travels –  its own weight in CO2 in 6,000 miles.

• Petrol scooters can emit up to eight times more pollution than a typical car, says Scientific American.
