Powabyke Ltd, with a network of dealers across the country, are delighted to be supporting Barbara Woods and the Multiple Sclerosis Society by providing an electric Powatryke to Barbara at a reduced cost.

The fifty four year old mother of five from Severn Beach was first diagnosed with MS when she was 27 years of age.  As her condition has developed over the years her muscles have lost strength and dexterity but she has remained determined not to lose her independence.

Barbara realised that cycling would not only strengthen her legs but also allow her to get out and about with more ease.  The Bristol branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, whose objectives include improving the quality of life for suffers, agreed to purchase a trike for Barbara.

Tom Cantle, from the Bristol Multiple Sclerosis Information Centre said, “We are delighted to be able to assist Barbara; she is a courageous woman who is attempting to be independent and keep going. With poor balance the three- wheeler tryke will enable her to widen her horizons as well as strengthen her legs. The Multiple Sclerosis Society is here to support anyone living with MS. We are able to make financial grants to those in need thanks to the generous support of the public and with the assistance of volunteers we are able to provide our service.”
